It is a family like atmosphere with everyone being celebrated for what they bring to the team. The team have been designing and manufacturing quality workwear garments at the same site for over 100 years!
Yarmouth are proud to be working with British suppliers and manufacturers where possible. Their fabrics are sourced in the UK, mostly from suppliers in Yorkshire and Lancashire. The chalk stripe fabric is sourced from Chapmans, a textile agent in Yorkshire, UK.
Planet
Yarmouth Oilskins make hard wearing garments that get better with age. Their philosophy is ‘buy well, buy once and then wear it to death. Every mark and repair is a story.’
Yarmouth purchased the Chalk Stripe fabric as a deadstock cloth, saving good fabric from going to waste.
Fabrics are Oeko-tex certified. This means they are free of harmful substances and safe for human health and the environment too.
Areas for development
Yarmouth's deadstock chalk stripe fabric supplier is not able to provide information about the original ethical source of this fabric.
